History & Relationship to Blue Ribbon Coalition
The Blue Ribbon Coalition Ambassador Program was created to strengthen local advocacy and ensure that the voice of responsible motorized recreation is present where land-use decisions are actually being made. As a program of the Blue Ribbon Coalition, ambassadors serve as informed, regionally based representatives who help monitor issues, engage constructively with agencies, and educate fellow recreationists about responsible use. By building a structured network of trained local advocates, the program supports BRC’s mission to protect access to public lands and waters for motorized use through proactive communication, credible participation, and coordinated action
CODE OF CONDUCT
Blue Ribbon Coalition Ambassadors serve as regional representatives committed to protecting responsible motorized access to public lands and waters. Ambassadors are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and respect in all public, online, and agency interactions. They must model responsible recreation practices, communicate factually and constructively, and avoid behavior that could harm the credibility of the organization. Ambassadors agree to maintain confidentiality when required, disclose potential conflicts of interest, and support coordinated advocacy efforts aligned with the mission of the Blue Ribbon Coalition. Service in the program is a privilege and carries the responsibility to uphold the values and standards of the Coalition at all times.
